| Overview |
| This course for early childhood teachers will help teachers’ understand what is meant by constructivism and inquiry based curriculum in the early childhood classroom. Participants will be engaged through interactive and hands-on activities to make sense of these terms and processes for their own teaching and classrooms. Participants will leave with new understandings and ideas for implementation in their early care settings. |

| Trainer’s Profile |
| Dr. Martha J. Lash is an Associate Professor of Early Childhood Education at Kent State University, Kent, OH, USA. She taught and directed early childhood programs for infants through third graders; these programs were inquiry based, served economically and culturally diverse families and were nationally accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Dr. Lash’s teaches child development, guidance, and integrated, inquiry-based curriculum for preservice and inservice teachers; she has conducted international teacher training in Turkey and Pakistan. She serves as the International Baccalaureate PYP Coordinator for Early Childhood at Kent State University. |
