| Overview: |
Whether you are new to international schools or need a solid refresher, teaching English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners in subject-area classes requires a reliable set of pedagogic tools.
Dr. Ardell provides a clear overview of the methods, relevant theories and lesson plans that make multilingual teaching work. Teachers will examine practical ways to design lessons with tried-and-true language supports, keeping the work challenging but achievable. We’ll also master the art of grouping, because letting students actually talk to each other-rather than just listening to us-works wonders for their language skills. You will leave this session knowing how to support your EAL students while keeping expectations high. |
