Overview:
A comprehensive virtual learning series that deeply integrates research-based mathematics coaching with the seven Comprehensive Mathematical Competencies (CMC). This year-long professional development program consists of twelve 3-hour sessions split between fall and spring semesters, creating a sustained learning experience that builds coaching expertise over time. The series is designed to meet the needs of both novice and experienced coaches, embedding coaching fundamentals within specific mathematical contexts while building leadership capacity. Each session combines direct instruction, interactive practice, and tool development, ensuring participants can immediately apply their learning. While the sessions build upon each other to create a cohesive learning progression, they are structured so that coaches can join the series at natural entry points throughout the year. Between sessions, participants engage in practical application and reflection, creating a robust community of practice that supports sustained professional growth. The program culminates in the development of comprehensive coaching systems that participants can implement in their own contexts, supported by a rich digital resource library and ongoing networking opportunities.
