Overview:
How do we implement inquiry-based learning in the early years? This four days, 16 hours workshop aims to offer you strategies which support your teaching in an inquiry-based way in early years.

This workshop gives participants the following opportunities and learning experience:
  1. to enhance understanding of inquiry-based learning and inquiry cycle,
  2. to explore strategies in each of the phases of inquiry,
  3. to collaboratively imply strategies in the content of Unit of Inquiry and Chinese as a foreign language,
  4. to explore the Generative and Integrative approach to teaching Chinese as an additional language, an approach innovated by Lucy Wong,
  5. to explore how Chinese as second language support Unit of Inquiry
Approximately 1 hour of reading before the workshop – in the participant’s own time. A list of strategies will be shared after the workshop.

All participants will be issued with a link to the course that will not be shareable with others. Participants will agree to use the video and sound function to enable full participation. Participants will log in by an individual, not as a group. The workshop will not be recorded.

In the interest of interactivity and deeper learning, there will be a limit of 35 people per workshop.
