How can we create a living breathing curriculum responsive to the learners in our care? How can support a culture of collaboration between teachers to develop a pathway of engaging learning experiences both vertically and across the school year? Mapping is curricular collaboration. Mapping is learning architecture as a faculty lays out and reviews curriculum both vertically and across the school year. By developing timely and engaging maps teachers discuss best practices, share resources and improve the quality of learning experiences across a school K-12. Parents benefit when they are aware of specific learning targets for their children. Students are connected to their learning experiences over time when there is a constant flow of knowledge from term to term and year to year. Being able to capture assessments, lesson plans, and best practices within one place can improve teachers instruction. Our sessions will show how you can keep curriculum alive and vibrant with ongoing review and timely entries into our units and lesson plans.

  • Develop formative and summative assessments.
  • Upgrade assessments and to reflect modern literacies.

21st March 2024 - Setting up Gap Analysis and Mapping Reviews
  • Examine approach to set up gap analysis and mapping reviews.
  • Organize and conduct vertical reviews for gap analysis.
  • Organize and conduct cross-grade level reviews for gap analysis.
  • Growing a living breathing modern curriculum map.
  • Determine what to cut, keep and create each year in the curriculum.
