How can we create a culture of playful learning for adults as well as children? In this workshop, participants will deepen their understanding of how an inquiry-oriented approach to teaching can foster playful learning for children as well as themselves. Participants will engage in a hands-on activity to explore the role of “pedagogical documentation” (a core component of the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education) in understanding and promoting children’s learning through play. Participants will also receive a set of tools for supporting inquiry in their own settings.
