| Overview: |
This workshop is designed to facilitate schools and educators to meet the key challenges in current practice and to prepare a shift in world language classroom.
This workshop will explore the following questions:
- What research says and doesn’t say about world language learning? How these guide educators to restructure the teaching and learning in world language classroom?
- What are the characteristics of language acquisition in different stages?
- How to prepare students to be a writer and reader in world language classroom?
- What are the essential conceptual understandings in world language classroom?
- What are the effective framework of differentiation in the world language classroom?
- What are the strategies of play-based learning in Early Year world language classroom?
This workshop is suitable for all K-12 world language educators, includes curriculum leaders. |

| Dr. LUCY HOI YIN WONG |
| Dr.Lucy (Hoiyin) Wong, is a certified Dr H. Lynn Erickson and Dr Lois A. Lanning Concept-Based Curriculum and Instruction Trainer and Presenter, a teacher, an author and a researcher. Before transitioning to her current position, she taught as a PYP bilingual classroom teacher. Lucy currently facilitates the development of Inquiry-Based Curriculum and Instruction and assists with the teacher induction and mentoring program. |
