Overview:
How do we implement inquiry-based learning? This three days, 10 hours workshop aims to offer you strategies which supports your teaching in an inquiry-based way.

On 27 and 28 June, participants start to examine their inquiry journey, exploring 5 powerful strategies in implementing inquiry in the classroom from Kimberly L. Mitchell's book "Experience Inquiry". Followed this, participants will rethink their understanding of inquiry-based learning. With new understanding, participants will explore strategies in each of the phases of inquiry.

Participants will have 2-week time to consolidate their understanding, followed by 2 hours guidance in developing a unit plan of one subject with the model of inquiry cycle on 11 July. There will be primary teachers planning session and middle school teacher planning session on 11 July. The subjects of two planning sessions will be selected based on the survey of most of participants interest and need. Each participant can only attend one planning session.

Approximately 1 hour of reading before the workshop – in participant’s own time. A list of strategies will be shared after the workshop.

All participants will be issued with a link to the course that will not be shareable with others. Participants will agree to use the video and sound function to enable full participation. Participants will log in by individual not as a group. The workshop will not be recorded.
