| Overview: | |||||||||
| How do we implement inquiry? This three days, 10 hours practical workshop aims to offer you practical strategies which supports your teaching in an inquiry-based way. During the first two days, participants start to examine their inquiry journey, explore how to implement inquiry in the classroom with practical examples from a wide range of settings and to explore strategies in each of the phases of inquiry. Participants will have a week time to consolidate their understanding, followed by 2 hours guidance in developing a unit plan with the model of inquiry cycle on the third day. The participants have time to practice as authentically as possible, to see the immediate application to their work, leave with a plan of action, and feel supported by a community of professionals. This workshop is suitable for all primary and middle school educators. |

| Dr. Lucy (Hoiyin) Wong is a certified Concept-Based Curriculum and Instruction Trainer, an author of PYP Inquiry Readers, an Action Research Coordinator IBEN Consultant, IBEN Workshop Leader, and IBEN School Visit Team Leader. Lucy is an experienced educational consultant with elite schools globally. Lucy has a solid tracing background in teacher training, and she is actively involved in consulting schools in developing concept-based curriculum for all subjects, providing guidance in developing Literacy Focused World Language Program based on her research, implementing Inquiry Fluency into whole school curriculum based on her years of inquiry work and coaching teachers and conferencing students in classroom to provide differentiated instruction. |
