Empowering students to become self-directed and interdependent learners both online and in the classroom is key to their immediate and lifelong success.

Imagine students who are:
  • Asking more meaningful questions
  • Co-designing their own assignments
  • Creating tutorials for classmates
  • Engaging in peer to peer learning
  • Providing self-assessment
In turn, imagine teachers who are:
  • Learning more about how their students learn
  • Deepening their ability to respond to the unique learning needs of each student
  • Designing highly motivating assignments
  • Saving enormous amounts of time by leveraging their community of learners
At the end of the course, educators will have learned about powerful free tools and strategies to empower learners. They will have also created highly motivating assignments that support their curriculum. This pedagogy of student empowerment works for both online and classroom settings.
